For 67 years WYES has been the storyteller for New Orleans, southeast Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
We are proud to continually provide PBS programming, award-winning local documentaries and cooking series for viewers of all ages including — “Antiques Roadshow,” “Masterpiece,” “NOVA,” “Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr.,” “Curious George,” “Steppin’ Out,” “Informed Sources,” “The Dooky Chase Kitchen: Leah’s Legacy” and many more.
Our dedicated volunteers are an integral part of WYES’ success helping with fundraising campaigns, events, educational outreach, cookbook distribution and more. We are grateful for their tireless efforts.
WYES recently held its first digital summer camp for two weeks with students across the metro area. In efforts to continuing educating our community on the damage of our coast and what is being done to help restore it, WYES is hosting its first WYES COASTAL EXPO event on August 17th. The free event will bring together coastal advocacy groups, as well as showcase WYES’ ongoing series, CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES, focusing on the restoration of the Louisiana coastline.
WYES is a vital source of education, information and entertainment — on air and online.
