The New Orleans Volunteer Orchestra (and Voices of New Orleans Choir) strives to provide a community of dedicated volunteer musicians of all levels creating engaging music and providing performance and educational opportunities to the Greater New Orleans community. NOVO is community music at its best, at its most inclusive, and at its most exciting – musicians and singers alike of all different walks of life, all different age ranges, and all different skill levels come together to make something beautiful. NOVO provides an opportunity for amateur musicians learn from seasoned veterans, and our musicianship classes help singers find their voice while they learn the ins and outs of choral singing. Concerts are fresh and innovative, with programming that appeals to a wide audience by blending together different styles of music. It’s an organization sustained by the love of music.
