The Louisiana Creole Research Association Inc., known as LA Creole, was founded on August 21, 2004, as a New Orleans-based, non-profit that advances family research, provides education and public programming while celebrating Creole history and culture.
LA Creole’s 20th annual conference will be held from November 8-10, 2024 in New Orleans, LA.
To commemorate 20 years of preserving the culture, the weekend will begin with a Legacy Legion Gala celebration and dance on Friday evening, a full day of expert panels and interactive workshops addressing genealogy, history, and family heirlooms on Saturday, and a commemorative Sunday mass followed by a reception. The events will be held on the campus of Corpus Christi-Epiphany and the UNO Ethel & Herman L. Midlo Center in the Earl K. Long Library.
